Join us for our annual adventure! Terry Monahan '66, owner of the House Of Travel, will again personally escort this year's tour. This trip promises to be the best yet but space is limited so call today to reserve your space!

April 20 -  Depart Boston Logan International on Lufthansa German Airlines for our transatlantic flight with dinner on board (flights and times to be advised)

April 21 - Arrive in Germany and transfer to Hotel Residenz where we enjoy our welcome dinner and overnight in Passau 

A cruise in the spring has a charm all of its own. The landscapes along the Danube burst into full bloom. The thousands of blossoming apricot trees in the Wachau make an unforgettable sight.

April 22

Embarkation at Passau, the city where three rivers meet. The ship leaves port at 6 p.m. and takes you through the lovely stretch of the Danube known as the "Schlogener Schlinge". After these first scenic impressions of the Danube, our courier on board will welcome you with a cocktail before the official welcome dinner.

April 23

At about 11.30 a.m., the AMADEUS into port at Vienna. The entire day is at your disposal to discover the metropolis on the Danube. The city of music and joie de vivre where Sachertorte and Heuriger are just as famous as St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Imperial Palace. See all the important sights on our Vienna sightseeing tour or explore this city full of tradition on your own. The ship leaves the port of Vienna at 6 p.m. and heads downstream for Budapest.

  April 24

Arrival at Budapest, the capital of Hungary at 10 a.m. The magnificent buildings lining the right and left banks of the Danube are an unforgettable sight. Our Budapest sightseeing tour encompasses all the major sights of the city. After dinner enjoy an unforgettable evening cruise on the AMADEUS with a glorious view of the beautifully floodlit buildings on both banks of the river. A Gypsy band, specially engaged for this cruise, entertains you on board with lively music and you also see a performance by a Hungarian folklore group.

April 25

After breakfast, relax in the morning on the sun deck and take in the picturesque panorama as it glides by. At 1.30 p.m. the AMADEUS  reaches the port of Bratislava. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to get to know the city during the city tour of Bratislava. The ship departs at 5.00 p.m. upstream to Austria.

April 26

In the morning, the boat berths at the idyllic wine-growing town of Emmersdorf. From here, you can take part in the excursion "Beauties of the Wachau". At 1 p.m., the boat continues its trip through the scenic and mythical Wachau. On the last evening of your journey on the Danube, the captain of the AMADEUS  will be delighted to welcome you to the gala dinner. The excellent orchestra which has been entertaining you in the Panorama Bar throughout the cruise will get you swinging and dancing the night away.

April 27

The AMADEUS  arrives at Passau, the town where the rivers meet, at about 9.00 a.m. Disembarkation by 9.30 a.m. End of the cruise.

Transfer to airport for our return flight to Boston.
